I am very romantic. Perhaps a hopeless romantic? I absolutely love to surprise my partner and make her feel special and warm. Many people search for a good person to settle down with and live together contently. I don't want that. I want a life-long love affair with my wife. I want to be madly in love with her, even after 40 years together. How is this possible? I think it requires some effort. Passion is something that often disappears in a marriage, and I don't see why it must be so. With a little bit of effort, I know I can keep that feeling strong for the rest of our lives together. She is not in my life at the moment unfortunately, but I am doing everything I can to change that. I have a deep appreciation of different cultures. I grew up in Canada surrounded by many different cultures. I loved it. I don't care where my future wife is from, what race she is, what ethnic background - but I must say, I do hope she is from a different culture. I find sharing culture with someone special very enriching. I know little of Russian culture - or even the many different cultures within Russia, not to mention the surrounding countries that people seem to be from on this site. However, I really look forward to learning. Please teach me! As for my personality, people say I am fun to be with. I am easy to talk with, and do a good job of both listening when needed, and offering advice when I can. I am very compassionate and empathetic. Extremely supportive. I can't be happy knowing my partner is upset about something. That is how I am. One thing about me is that I am really positive. I have my 'down' days just like everyone else. I do try to live by focusing on any problems I can fix and correcting them, and then getting back to appreciating just whatever nice things may come. A picnic in the countryside may be ruined by a sudden unexpected thunderstorm, but how exciting is it to having to pack everything in a hurry, and then sitting there in sheer amazement at the lightning. Besides, it is fun to run in the rain, no? If it rains during our picnic, then I will just grab you by the hand and we will dance in the rain until we are tired.
