I'm a spiritual post-professional who's outgrown conventional careers and external incentives in favor of authentic meaningful work, right livelihood, and a lifestyle of creative contribution and voluntary simplicity made possible by free agency. The freedom and responsibility to create your own destiny into an open future as a self-employed free agent is awesome. I absolutely believe in the power to actualize dreams and to create a preferred future because I’ve done it and I help others do it. I served in the 3rd U.S. Infantry, the Army's most elite unit and where I started meditating, to put myself thru college where I was elected VP of the student body and graduated with honors with a broad liberal arts education. I then served as an Economic Policy Advisor to a senior Democratic U.S. Senator for eight years. Of the thousands of interesting people I met in Washington, The Dalai Lama stands out. While on Capitol Hill I was also a semi-professional dancer culminating with the lead role of 'Phantom' in a dance production of The Phantom of the Opera performed at Wolf Trap. When I reached the limits of working for someone else I moved to sunny Santa Fe for grad school at St. John's, the 'Great Books' school, and to create my holistic fitness practice. I'm here looking for a fellow centaur, muse, running partner, yoga buddy, best friend, lover, wife, and soulmate to share life with... someone too alive, awake, aware, and full of joy to be cynical, jaded, or materialistic. Someone whose identity is more likely to be 'yogini' than her job, who is spiritual but not religious.

Perhaps I adore your beautiful attitude that smiles through the heart, or your sensitive caring nature that shines from your deep heart bursting with love. You probably love nature, animals, children, and life. You love yourself too, and are open to various avenues for exploring and developing consciousness together. You're someone I can talk to, laugh with, and steal the covers from on cold winter nights; someone *playful* to have tickle fights with, someone soulful to fall madly in love with. You're my equal opposite, an affectionate lover with feminine yin energy to complement the energy I offer. Most important, your heart of gold feels deeply; preferably you've been poor at some point so you can resonate with the majority of people on Earth. Your awareness of their plight provides a larger context for putting everything in perspective: you value the most important things in life, you're grateful for what you have, and maybe you're moved to do something about it or another cause you care about. And what I'm looking for in you is a measure and reflection of what I offer. I believe that monogamous sacred marriage can be the highest yoga, the highest union. It is a practice of learning to become one with another human being, so that when we die, we have the practice to become one with the divine. Loving and worshiping each other as the manifest divine is a spiritual practice in the stage 3 relationship I seek, spiritual but not religious. “But how will I know who my Soulmate is?” "By taking risks" she said to Brida. "By risking failure, disappointment, disillusion, but never ceasing in you search for Love. As long as you keep looking, you will triumph in the end.” ― Paulo Coelho, Brida I greet that place where you and I are one. Namaste, Jeff

More About Me

Favorite Movie:

The Matrix Trilogy, 12 Monkeys, Vanilla Sky, Contact, The Sixth Sense, The Others, The Proposition, Generations, The Game, Devil's Advocate, Raising Arizona, indies in general, Woody Allen films, parody, satire, spoofs like the Naked Gun series, Mike Myers, Steven Wright, Conan, Howie Mandel, Eddie Murphy, Richard Lewis, Gary Schandling, Madeleine Stowe, Jodie Foster, Morgan Freeman.

Favorite Book:

Health and fitness (incl. sports nutrition, exercise physiology, anti-aging/life extension, cognitive enhancement/nootropics, sports psychology, health psychology, etc.), psychology (esp. developmental, humanistic, transpersonal, integral, applied, and the so-called 'new' positive psychology), the new sciences (relativity and quantum physics, the systems sciences, complexity/chaos theories, cybernetics, cognitive sciences, consciousness studies, etc.), parapsychology/paranormal (all the mysteries, esp. reincarnation, NDEs and OBEs, and yes, even psychics, mediums, ghosts, UFOs, and other anomalies to the prevailing worldview that provide clues, William James's 'White Crows, ' to the next worldview), philosophy (esp. Classical Greek, Continental, Eastern, Post-Analytic, Integral), spirituality (of the nondual traditions, esp. Vedanta Hinduism, Vajrayana Buddhism, Taoism, NeoVedanta and the 20th century Indian and American integral tradition), philosophy of information and information theory, IT stuff, business and marketing strategy. Victor Frankl, Abraham Maslow, Carol Gilligan, Plato, Plotinus, Hegel, Sri Aurobindo, Emerson, Habermas, William James, Ken Wilber, David Deida, John Welwood, Jenny Wade, Margot Anand, Don Beck, Roger Walsh, Michael Murphy, Georg Feuerstein, David Loy, Mark Woodhouse, The Dalai Lama, Sri Ramana Maharshi, Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Gurudev Mahendranath, Swami Vivekananda, Osho, Luciano Floridi, Gary Hamel, C. K. Prahalad, Peter Senge.

Favorite Food:

I like every kind of cuisine.

Favorite Music:

Rush is my all-time favorite band, I've seen them live 8 or 9 times and they're just phenomenal, in a class by themselves. Funk is the best to dance to, I can't dance to white music; I love Kate Bush, she's in a class by herself as well, also love U2, Peter Gabriel, The Gypsy Kings, Dead Can Dance; progressive rock, alt. rock like The Church, Modern English, classic rock like the Stones, Zeppelin, The Doors; Irish music; world music; progressive jazz; romantic, postromantic and 20th century classical like Dvorak, Martinu, Copland, Orff; some techno/trance is pretty cool.

Dress Style:

athletic, sporty

Humor:

I love satire, parody, and spoofs; making fun of conventions.

Hobbies & Interests:

I have a lesbian cat who eats my shoe laces, pees in the sink, and has a serious crush on my other cat who loves to make strange noises while attacking my feet.

But my main motivation is spiritual growth. I believe the supreme good in life is spiritual awareness and service achieved through the disciplined development of consciousness through several stages of growth as mapped out by transpersonal and integral psychology, culminating with nondual awareness variously described as enlightenment, illumination, awakening, realization, liberation, moksha, sahaj, satori, Buddhahood, mystical union, unio mystica, oneness, etc., depending on the spiritual tradition. By any name, spiritual enlightenment and the compassionate service to others that flows from it is the most important goal of my life.

My path is one I create by integrating the spiritual practices of the great nondual tantric traditions of Advaita Vedanta Hinduism, Vajrayana Buddhism, and Taoism with technologies of contemporary science such as brain/mind and biofeedback machines into an integral transformative practice for growth and awakening. It's a holistic path of integral yoga that develops the whole person and the whole couple thru nutrition, running, strength training, stretching, hatha yoga, philosophy, affirmation, visualization, hypnosis, meditation, dream yoga/lucid dreaming 'night school', occasional organic psychedelics, authentic tantra yoga when in relationship with someone I love, and karma yoga for the benefit of others.

I believe that marriage can be the highest yoga, the highest union. It is a practice of learning to become one with another human being, so that when we die, we have the practice to become one with God. A Hindu spiritual teacher once said, "A loving woman is better than a hundred yogis. A loving woman can take you to God in a moment."

Travelled:

I've been to 12 countries, mostly European.

Cultural Adaption:

Extremely, I prefer multicultural relationships.

Romance:

Traveling somewhere, just the two of us. Quality time: no phones, no TV, no computers. Just talking, playing, and laughing.

Personality:

I have two sides to my personality, a serious side and a playful side. Though my serious side is purposeful and focused, my playful side is equally playful, almost childlike, something I got from my dad who was a real character. I love playing practical jokes, the more creative the better. I love doing things in conventional situations where people are expected to act in a certain way, nothing rude or obnoxious, just things that aren't expected that catch people off-guard or that poke fun at a situation. A fun girl really brings out my sense of humor because I'm a ham and I love to make her laugh. It's almost painful to be with someone who's not playful, fun, quick to smile, quick to laugh, and just generally happy.

My Perfect Match is:

A mature woman in her 30's who has some depth of soul from life experience. I'm more attracted to natural girls who wear a big smile instead of makeup and I prefer the natural athletic look over glamor shots or someone trying to look like a model...I don't like girls who rely too much on their physical beauty or whose self-esteem is wrapped up in her physical appearance. That's not sexy to me. Sexiness comes from within: a caring heart, confidence in yourself, courage to follow your heart, and a fun playful personality. I'm looking for my future best friend, lover, wife, and soulmate. I want a wife who knows she's sexy.

I seek a spiritual relationship leading to sacred marriage in the Taoist and Integral Yoga traditions so I prefer a mature educated spiritual woman fluent in English so we can enjoy great conversations.

Someone who's spiritual but not religious who wants a fun, close, deep relationship and a healthy yogic lifestyle. Someone who actually aspires to enlightenment, preferably Hindu, Buddhist, or Taoist. If you are 'traditional' we aren't a good match...if you consider yourself 'modern' that's better, but 'postmodern' is best!

Report me to the site administrator if I ask for too much...

PS I'm serious about finding love and marriage but only with someone equally serious about psychological/spiritual growth; preferably Hindu, Buddhist, or Taoist, because I'm looking for a spiritual wife, my soulmate for life.

Safety Tip - Always meet in a public place for your first date

If you choose to have a face-to-face meeting with another member, always meet in a public place with many people around. Organize your own transportation to and from the date and never agree to be picked up at your home. Always tell someone in your family or a friend where you are going and when you will return and stay connected with your cell phone switched on at all times.
